Superb little restaurant. Excellent taster menu. Every dish was delightful. The staff were very attentive. We went here on recommendation and were not disappointed. A must visit for foodies. Michelin star quality, some nice surprises and finishing touches on the menu. Good value for the quality and service on offer. Will definitely return.

Booked a table here whilst in Ashbourne for the weekend. Fixed 2 or 3 course menu with something for everyone. I had the chicken meatballs with green salad, followed by a vegetarian curry and finished with apple and cinnamon pancakes with calvados. All very well presented and cooked perfectly. Only a small restaurant, which was busy on the night we... More

A newly built modern well lit restaurant with double height pitched roof, log burner and open kitchen is all most welcoming, though lies incongruously immediately behind a regular old pub. Some restaurants can make dishes look sensational on the plate and claim a fine dining experience, but do not always deliver on the actual taste itself and therefore not so... More

We went following recent recommendation and it lived up to its expectations. Fabulous taster menu and was on offer at the time which didn't alter the quality or standard! Loved almost every course and even though one desert dish was pretty bland every other was exceptional! Great ambience. Lovely quiet little restaurant. Great service. Accommodating of food preferences on a... More

Visited for to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed! Word of mouth have led us to the lighthouse as we would certainly not have found it otherwise. The Spring tasting menu was fabulous, well executed with amazing flavour combinations. The staff were knowledgable and attentive, wine was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. We will be recommending... More

Every one we take to this restaurant enjoys it. The tasting menu makes it different from the average restaurant. Always we come home talking about the meal. The restaurant is very smart even though it is behind a traditional pub.

Visited last week to try the Spring Tasting menu and wow what interesting well put together flavours. Having not visited for a while it was great to return to this tucked away location and enjoy relaxed fine dining, whilst being looked after by a team who clearly know what they are doing. The courses flowed perfectly. Well done to all... More

We booked in for a family birthday having already tried a taster menu at Belle Époque, Knutsford. The Lighthouse has a wonderful setting in a barn-type conversion and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The 8 course Spring menu was £55 per head on a Friday night and offered many styles of food, including the more unusual. The staff... More

The restaurant is behind a pub. You have to walk past the smoking hut to get into the restaurant. This was a put off for us. The car park is a good size and we got parked very easily. We walked into the restaurant and immediately felt the awkward atmosphere. The waiter sounded nervous to even greet us. We were... More
