We visited here three times, as we were staying in the Travelodge next door for three nights. We visited for breakfast on the Sunday morning. My husband had the cooked breakfast and enjoyed it. I opted for the breakfast roll with sausage. It was nice but the sausages were slightly overdone. I ordered the jammy toast for my two year... More

Stopped off for mid week lunch. My partner ordered a small fish and chips as large portions are usually too much. There was more batter than fish, the portion was the size of a toddler! I had a normal size lasagnes which was not very big. This came with a salad of mainly lettuce with a couple of chunks of... More

Our party of four adults ate here on Saturday 22 April 2017. Our meals were really awful, cold and badly cooked Without asking they gave us a 20% refund, it should have been a 100% refund. DONT EAT THERE

If you are going to visit here,go when it's quiet which will be soon if current service levels continue. Probably a handy place for locals but for us passing through after our holiday we shall never return. We booked a table for 7.30 pm having looked at the website. All that rotisseri stuff was quite enticing. The warm welcome from Jeanette looked promising... We go to Stepping stones regularly. The staff are all really friendly, polite and ready to help. The meals are amazing. Would recommend the steak night which is Thursday night. Steak and bottle of wine for two £20 worth every penny. Well done to the staff again.

Busy Sunday at the Stepping Stones. Our Sunday lunch had plenty of freshly carved meat. A good selection of Vegetables and Roast potatoes. I didn't have the Yorkshire puddinga as i am gluten free but it was huge and eagerly polished off by the rest of our party. I was catered for with gluten free bread with my starter and... More

A pleasant Easter day lunch with my partner, Dad and Stepmother. We've eaten here many times and is usually a reliable place for decent food and a wide choice, today was no exception. Personally I would it rate it "good" rather than "very good" as some of the portions are rather small for the price. As we eat vegetarian, we... More

Decided on a bite to eat after visiting Ashbourne but we didn't stay long. Waited for around 5 minutes before being asked if we were eating. Although it was busy there were several tables empty and I asked if we could be seated at an empty two seater table by the window however the rather rude waitress said no it... More
