Went for the Sunday dinner cob. Been before and arrived a bit late last time. Roast beef cob with roast potatoes and gravy. Tasted great again this time. Freindly staff. Always clean.

Lovely pub on the outskirts of Belper. The outside has a combination of grassed area, patio and decking with fantastic country views. The pub itself is always spotless, nicely decorated and well maintained. There are always 4 real ales along with a range of ciders, lagers and wine on offer. There is no cooked food although cold cobs, pork pie... More

We go to a caravan site a two minute all from this pub. We always pay it a visit whilst there. The couple than run the pub are very friendly and are dog lovers, so needless to say you are always made welcome with your pooches. We went for New Years Eve with our 3 dogs and had a lovely... More

Was looking for somewhere to have a lovely Sunday lunch and called in here. Nick is a friendly landlord and serves the best beef cobs with home made gravy and potatoes. We will be coming to this friendly pub with our dog next time we come! I especially liked the Union Jack bunting and cushions. Thanks Andy and Nick for... More

Lovely friendly pub, allows dogs which is a plus, dogs sometimes get a biscuit too, which they love. lots of places to sit, it does get a bit crowded sometimes, but a nice place to have a chat and a drink. We have not eaten here, for no other reason than we only go for an afternoon drink, the sport... More

We are stopping at a nearby Caravan site, so the Fishermans Rest is in walking distance. Beer is excellent, the Cider was delish. Had a ham cob each which was amazing. The friendliness of the landlord, staff and locals make visiting this pub a delight. Well worth a visit.

I always cycle past this place on my way into the Peak District and it always looked great. The decoration is really nice and welcoming, the owner friendly and talkative and there were plenty of drinks available. A really good selection of beer and wines. Apparently food is only served on Sundays, which is good as this is when we... More

Visited for the first time this weekend and was impressed Would certainly go back again. Caters for everyone including dogs. The outside area is very spacious and there is a large car parking area. Food is only served on a Sunday which consists of hot Pork or Beef cobs with roast potatoes and gravy which looked delicious. The pub is... More

Stopped here fora drink( rehydration) asked about food. The pub does not do it🙀. BUT. The landlord Nick has all the local takeaway menus and orders it for you. 😀Provides plates and cutlery as well. Great beers and wines on offer. Superb location by the river. 👍🏻. Will go again next time in area. 😎

Having stayed on a Caravan site nearby, we wanted some food. We went to the pub, but weren't doing food, however they have a load of takeaway menus behind the bar, which they order the food for you to eat in the pub, all you pay for is the cost of the food ordered. They even supplied plates and condiments!... More

A traditional Derbyshire Country Pub. Perfectly kept Real Ales (4) and a range of Lagers, Ciders and top quality Wines.
We serve Butchers Snacks and made-to-order filled Cobs; on Sunday we offer Hot Roast Beef Cobs with Roasties and 'real' Gravy. Very much an Ale & Wine House serving 'snacks for drinkers' rather than offering a Restaurant offering.
We cater for Funeral Wakes, Christenings and Family Parties.
The Pub is very 'dog friendly' and boasts a large garden and sun terrace - the sun shines on the property all day and sets on the front of the Pub and the Terrace.
Classic pub games on offer - Darts, Dominoes, Table Skittles, Cribbage.
