Booked standard double room from 8/ 08/ 18 for 2 night stay...good room,on ground floor at rear, comfy bed, good shower, quite after pub closes...only grumble you could here all the plumbing from guests above rising early...so up for early breakfast, plenty of choice hot...More

Called in here after a walk around the beautiful village of Castleton.....exactly what we needed....no frills classic bar menu.....great choice of beers......friendly Geordie lad behind the bar..(no bias but I’m a Geordie myself).....dog friendly....good atmosphere even for a lunchtime....would recommend and return...
