Put it’s nearbye public house ompetition firmly in the shade. Pleasant, and quick staff. Excellent cuisine, nicely cooked and presented.
Popped in with my daughter whilst exploring Tideswell on the first day on a weekend stay. On entering there was a bar but it felt more like a restaurant. Indeed the menu looked quite good! Lacked much atmosphere and the ale was "ok" not great.
Ate here twice while staying in Tideswell. Good service and very friendly waitresses. Food was good and reasonably priced
The hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was super soft. Breakfast was included so great value. Staff were super helpful and even went to the trouble of printing maps for us. We also had dinner and the food was great....More
A warm welcome and great service, good menu choice and very reasonably priced, mixed bag of food, some great, some just ok.
We stoped for a drink and a game of pool. Didn't see a menu. The bonus is the parking in front of the pub and off the street, plenty of it
Beer is cheap. Menu is standard pub fare but not well cooked or presented. There are better places in the village to eat including the horse and jockey with similar menu but food is much better.

Went here on the last night of our 3 night break in Tideswell. Lovely welcome from staff. Cosy atmosphere with real coal fires. A welcome sight in the winter. Food and drinks were excellent value. Not typical pub food. Nicely presented and came out piping...More
