We have been here several times and loved it everytime. They do great share platters and also dining inside. Wine list is wonderful, they have a tasting room, its situated amongst trees and its a really great atmosphere. There Turkey Pate, that is made on the premises is AMAZING! You can also purchase the Pate. Love it here, would recommend... More

We ordered a few entrees to share and also the platter for 2- I felt the platter was a bit over priced for what was on it - however their freshly baked bread and their homemade butter was delicious - the turkey pate was nice and the cheeses on the platter - the terrine was average - the octopus was... We visited Woodstock recently for lunch and really enjoyed the shared platter. This prompted us to try the pizza night, which promised all you can eat woodfired 'gourmet' pizza. The night started well enough with friendly service, until we asked to try one of the wines. The waitress told us the taster bottle had been open since Monday (4 days)... More

Very nice ambiance, with an upscale rustic decor, a glass wall allowing for a lot of light and a view on the countryside, well spaced tables, and relaxing background music. Good service. Food was remarkably good. I had a "taste" consisting in a bay oyster with lemon granita, definitely interesting - but not the ideal match perhaps (I admit to... More

Would have loved time to explore more... Simply had a coffee and visited the excellent playground and kangaroos - but loved the idea of Friday night pizza - the oven was just firing up as we left! Next time.

We visited on a rainy day and were pleased to have a long table quite close to the fireplace. We ordered our meal and then went next door for a wine tasting while we waited. The wine tasting room was very busy however the staff were very accommodating and informative and we didn't have to wait long. Highlight though was... More

After experiencing much of what the Mclaren Vale region has to offer in food and wine, I'm always excited to try somewhere new. Friday night, gourmet wood oven pizzas, live entertainment with a cellar door twist at Woodstock Corterie sounded perfect. The entertainment was soulful, the service was competent but lacking in knowledge however... the food was appalling. If gourmet... More

Celebrated a family birthday lunch with babies and toddlers in tow. Every staff member was friendly and made us feel welcome. Great live music added to the relaxed atmosphere with lots of room between tables for the little ones to dance. Food lovely and wine superb. Large lawned area, playground and kangaroo enclosure made the experience even more enjoyable.

Woodstock Coterie, built in 1988, was designed to nestle among the towering century old gum trees. The design took into consideration the location of each of these amazing native trees. Not one significant tree was cut down to accommodate building the restaurant. Hence, the Coterie's unique semicircle shape. Rammed earth walls encase the dining area, providing a warm feel and at the same time complementing The Coterie's unique quintessentially Australian landscape. Glass doors and windows frame the lush native gardens creating an atrium feel for the discerning patron. Upstairs there is a mezzanine level available for private tastings, conferences and functions. The name 'Coterie' was chosen for the word's meaning; the gathering of a group of people, or rather a circle of friends, for a specific purpose... that for us includes great food, good company and finest wines at Woodstock
