The food is not as imaginative as it was under the owners some years ago. However, it is still a good experience. The staff are friendly and the main courses are generally well done. Desert is a bit ordinary but all other aspects are quite good. Pretty reasonable wine list. It is our preferred local pub in the Victor Harbour... More

As a family of 14, we lunched at the Hotel Elliot for Mothers Day. The menu offered something for everybody - from chicken schnitzel and chips for the younger ones salt and pepper squid, steaks with a range of sauces a crusty chicken pie and chicken breast with ham and cheese encased in the chicken. the steak meals were all... Good family local Pub with pub food. The food is priced well and is quite good value. Stay away from the fish though, not the best choice at all. The lamb shanks are great value if you are hungry and want good flavours.

A group of us had lunch at the Elliot Hotel, Port Elliot. We sat facing The Strand with the bi fold windows open. Good relaxed pub in a great location. Typical pub meals with generous lunch serves. Great lunch desserts. Everyone was satisfied with their meals, especially the desserts ! Reasonably priced. Good service.

Steak(log) lots of gristle , was in all fairness well cooked. To go with it a variegated broccolini, brown and green, with a fairly tired potato mash. Chef you are responsible for all the ingredients of the meals you serve. The garfish came with a poor mans salad(much favoured in this hotel). The batter on the fish could only be described... More

Have been here a few times and had a good meal each time. Generally have the salt and pepper squid which is a nice serve and reasonable price. What I really like is the small salad with the main meal. Some places believe a few lettuce leaves is sufficient. Not these guys, they provide a selection of lettuce types, red... More

Having recently moved to Port Elliot we decided to try this pub as the menu and atmosphere were above the norm for a country location. We sat in the front room on a warm night with the fold back windows looking onto the 'The Strand'. It was great seeing the world go by and the food we ordered arrived in... More

Our family group of 11 were all impressed with the food and friendly service. The pizzas were lovely and a very good size for the price. Great value for money. We would definitely eat there again.

We're regulars. Thai beef salad came out without dressing. Young waitress asked us 'what do you want me to do about it?' We explained our salad had no dressing. She brought back a small sauce dish of Italian dressing. Ghaaa!!!!! It was fixed by an older lovely waitress and another lady from the kitchen. But still wasn't a great salad.... More
