My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful dinner on a Friday night! The restaurant is historic and comfortable, located along the canal. One of the specials was Pretzel-crusted Walleye which my husband and I chose, and my daughter had the Salmon. We were all...More

The location is quiet, pleasant and historic, and it's extremely popular. Looking at the menu there seemed to be some unique items, like beignets (just back from New Orleans, I have acquired a taste not easily satisfied in Ohio) and German dishes that seemed to...More

Historic tavern with indoor and outdoor dining. Good food with some nice German specialties on menu. The pork schnitzel was tasty. Good desserts. We would definitely go back for a return visit.

Visited for lunch during the week. Although there were plenty of tables open, we had to stand in the bar area for 10-15 minutes. I'm unsure why. Once we were seated, service was fine. I had the crab cake and salad. The crab cake was...More
