Excited to visit a "real" German restaurant. Schmidt's came highly recommended. Pretzel appetizer was great. And couldn't resist a cream puff for dessert. But main course was a letdown. Food was barely warm when it hit the table. Sauerbraten was only okay. Wiener schnitzel was...More

Portions are generous, and the food delicious, so be sure to come with room in your stomach. We opted for two "Signature Sausage Platters"--the Bahama Mama and the Old World Sausage Platter--both good choices. Each is a four-sausage sampler, and both platters come with hot...More

We're not really fans of German food, but this place is as good as it gets. The wienerschnitzel, saurbraten, etc were all top quality, and we liked the outfits that the waiters wore. Judging from the large numbers of obese people in the place, the...More

The food was excellent and plentiful. The place was very crowded when we went. Had to wait for a seats. But it was worth it. Parking is a major problem in the area. The deserts are to die for. Would recommend to others.

Whilst wandering round the German quarter of Columbus we decided to eat in this legendary eaterie. I had a bratwurst sandwich and it was delicious! I also bought uncooked brats to take home for dinner.

I have only been there during the week. Both times I was there, I know the buffet opened at 11:00 am. Not sure when it ends. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.

Lol! I know you checked the online menu and they weren't listed! I did the same. I think they are included with some of their dinners so I guess it depends on what you order but, as I recall, they are listed in the... More

Description
This iconic German Village restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate with family and friends. For five generations we have been serving authentic German food. Our sausage has become so famous that the Bahama Mama has been voted the official food of Columbus and the building is registered as a historic landmark. Come take a trip around our Autobahn Buffet or, if you want something other than sausage, try one of our traditional German dinners. Of course, for dessert, you can have one of our half-pound jumbo cream puffs. Stop in today and celebrate with us!
