Servers/Bartenders are always really nice, & generally good... Old-school / historic building gives a real Pub feel....The only 'bad' thing I could say about this place is that it gets *really* crowded, on Friday evenings and Happy Hour times... But, that's hardly a 'ding' on what they are doing!

Joe, the bartender is great! The atmosphere is very fun and the food is always good. In the warmer months, you can also sit outside on the patio and enjoy historic downtown, Dublin.

For DVT holding the #1 ranking of restaurants in Dublin, I expected a far superior meal. The award-winning Irish Egg Rolls were just ok - typical fried bar fare I've had at other bars/pubs. My husband deemed the fried cod in the Fish & Chips basket quite tasty, especially with malt vinegar. My Beef Braised Shepherd's Pie was a disappointment... More

Beautiful part of town and easy to get to. Great food, loved the feel of the restaurant, staff could have been friendlier.

Stopped here with my little girl for dinner on a Tuesday night. At first I thought this may not be a kid-friendly establishment, as we came in the back door and all I could see was the bar area. It took a minute to figure out where the hostess station was and once I saw another family with a child... More

First off, service was outstanding. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. I decided to add on a bowl of soup to my order about 5 minutes after we initially placed it, and she was back with it (roasted cauliflower garnished with scallions and bacon- SO GOOD) in less than 1 minute, despite taking orders for new... Enjoyed this small tavern very much. The building dates to the 1800's and was originally a post office. The reuben eggroll appetizer was very good - crunchy and filled with corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese (ask for some horseradish to add some zip). I enjoyed a fish sandwich and my husband had the Guiness burger, which was large and flavorful.... More

Surprisingly great food in a great, comfortable neighborhood gathering spot. It is cozy inside and they have a great but too small patio out front. Good salads, Irish favorites and good salmon. We have eaten here on multiple occasions for lunch and dinner.
