Absolutely great experience at the Hammer and Pincers. Mine Hostess, Rachel was accommodating in every way even letting us sample her wines before choosing - not often you get that nowadays. Her staff were exemplary, well trained and knew how to provide good customer service....More

Country Pub serving great food! Maybe it's the warm northern welcome, but that would be too obvious, or perhaps it's the curiously eclectic mix of the ancient and contemporary. It probably has a lot to do with the food, and the beer... Whatever it is that makes the Blacksmiths Arms such a favourite with it's regulars, you need to come and experience it first hand. For weddings, birthday parties, special occasions and corporate events:- Ask about our beautiful giant Nordic Tipis and our canvas marquee which can be hired for weddings either in our own garden or we can transport and rebuild them in a location of your choice within a 2 hour radius of Darlington. Suitable for 40 to 250 people. For a party with a difference why not book our newly re-furbished Anvil room, perfect for a private party of 10 - 30.
