First visit back and we had a fabulous hummous platter to share with Amondines usual tasty salads to accompany the hummous. Chunky wholemeal bread as well. Mmmmm so tasty, we can't recommend Amondines enough
We’ve been looking forward to coming back since covid closed Amandines and today we called in for lunch. I’m sorry to say the experience was disappointing. We sat on table 6 (indoor seating with glass doors overlooking the courtyard). The windows were absolutely covered in...fly sick/poo- I would have expected something like the windows next to tables to be kept clean of fly dirt!).
We were also charged £6 for a latte and child’s squash! When my husband queried the price of our bill they just said “yeah that’s right” but didn’t provide us with a receipt. It’s put me off visiting again :(More

I feel I must kindly inform all of those readers of the above review, - as it is a serious matter of hygiene, that the fly poo/sick is NOT fly poo/sick it is corrosion in the old glass, and it is totally impossible to remove!!...More
Have recently discovered this lovely cafe which serves the most delicious cakes and lunches (even for a non vegetarian) lovely atmosphere. They do only take cash but there is a cash point nearby. Well worth the visit when they re-open in December.
Amandines is a well established restaurant in the centre of Diss serving good vegetarian food. The location is interesting and I have been eating there for many years. However since lockdown I believe it no longer gives value for money.
Like all restaurants Amandines was...closed during UK lockdown and is now open only from Wednesday to Saturday from 10.30AM to 3.00PM. Amandines is prone to unannounced closures; it accepts only payment by cash and reservations only for parties of 6 or more.
Since reopening prices have increased and a jacket potato with cheese now costs £8.50 and a bottle of Coca Cola over £3.00 which means if six of you have a basic lunch it could come to over £60, which is payable by cash. In my experience these costs are in expensive compared to other local restaurants and are difficult to justify for a quick lunch with friends particularly with the added inconvenience of having to pay in cash.
I shall not be going to Amandines again.More
We try to get to Amandines as often as we can. We love the atmosphere in this place and even though we've eaten over 20 times the staff have always been very genuine and polite and friendly. The owners are very nice people and are...really appreciative of our custom. The space always looks very orderly, clean and well looked after. But the best thing is the food, it is delicious, always!! Its flavoursome, creative, colourful with lots of amazing taste combinations. We eat out a lot and yet this is our favourite place to go for lunch. I heartily recommend this place to anyone wanting to find a great place to eat and to impressive their friends.More
We love Les Amandine's. Service can be a bit on the slow side but the food is always worth the wait. We are not vegetarians but the tastes and textures of the food here are sublime. I am sure there are other good places to...eat in Diss but Les Amandine's is special.More
For someone who is an avid meat eater, I was a little dubious about coming here. However, I was amazed how tasty the food was with all the different colours, flavours and textures. Absolutely delicious. Quiche and Amardine's own salad was amazing.
Think they're missing...a trick by not opening of an evening though, as would i think it would be very popular.More
A family meeting of six - 5 adults and an 8 year old. We decided on Diss as a central meeting place for us, two daughters, one partner and an 8 year old Grandson. Two of the party are vegetarian so this was an obvious...choice. It was a bitterly cold half term Tuesday and it had not occurred to us to book a table. However after some negotiation with a couple occupying a table we managed to rearrange the tables in order for us to sit together. The menu was comprehensive and there were specials of the day on a blackboard. Although there was a good range of very interesting food on offer I chose a jacket potato with baked beans and cheese as this fitted in with my healthy eating weight loss plan. This was accompanied by the most delicious salad I have ever tasted. The rest of our party were equally impressed with their choices and even the fussy 8 year old enjoyed his peanut butter and jam sandwich!!!
As a non vegetarian I would happily return to this little gem.More

Hi, there is a council car park called 'Weavers' which is just off Mount Street, a minutes walk from Amandines. It is free for the first hour, and then £1.50 each extra hour stayed.
Hope this is ok for you.
