We eat here very regularly and are never disappointed, the food is always fresh and this is obvious in the taste, every time. The staff are so friendly and we always feel welcome when brining our little boy. We lived in Norwich for many years and have travelled around the world including Sri Lanka, the food served at India village... More

I had been to this restaurant before but on my recent visit it only occurred to me how good it is, as everything about it is understated. I went with my wife and disabled mother-in-law and we were treated with great courtesy; in particular the staff were very kind to my mother-in-law. The food was excellent: gentle Indian cuisine with... More

Went here for an anniversary dinner. When we got into the restaurant we were seated near a very loud table of men. As we were the only two tables occupied in the restaurant their conversation was very loud and distracting. My husband asked if we could move tables to the other side of the restaurant to have more privacy and... More

I’m normally too much of a grumpy curmudgeon to waste my time in providing free content for sites such as Trip Advisor but in the case of India Village I’ll make an exception. Food: Excellent. Much better than the overly generic offerings of too many other establishments. If what you’re looking for could be covered by a combination of ‘Hot,... More

The chairs are a bit bijou - I am over 6 foot and it was a bit fo a squeeze but the food was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. I preferred it to the nearby Shapla. Would definitely return.

Had a reet banging lamb naga with sides of onion bargee and sag aloo. It was bloody hot going in and stung on the way out . Just like a good Indian should be. All in all top banana. Don't ask what the korma was like as I am a fella and korma is for girls.

If you want great tasting Indian food, this in my opinion is one of the best. Not over expensive, staff are helpful and friendly. The only drawback is if very busy the tables are quite close together so I felt a little cramped in. Saying that, it is worth a visit.
