The food was passable but the staff were tetchy. One of the waiters was making jokes about Jesus on easter Sunday which was a little bit too much. The place was empty but it was getting near closing time and you felt the staff were waiting for you to go. This is what we did and will not bother them... More

Visited with friends on a Friday night. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We were seated immediately and made welcome. We ordered a number of different dishes which were relatively good but lacking a little in taste. The Chicken Korai was bland as was the Sag Paneer. We did however have a very pleasant red wine that we really... More

I went last week for a quick dinner with my son. The service was fine, attentive but not personable. The food was variable, the peshwari nan was the best I have ever eaten, and the side vegetables were fine, but the two main courses had their problems. My lamb dish was let down by too much fat and gristle, almost... More

I love going to this place and they do a great lunch deal. But on Friday 20th January 2017 I was really disappointed. We were seated quickly but then left, we had to call for a waiter to order drinks. To order food was worse! The waiter we had was really rude and not a peoples person. We had to... More

Just finished up here and never felt so unwelcome anywhere. Food was nice but we felt so rushed. Once we had finished everyone else (regulars) got cleaned up, wipes and bills presented. Even though we asked well before. Once we eventually started to pay by card I put my pin in and he walked off and started cleaning another table.... More

Shame about the naff restaurant name. Homely, authentic, well-served food and sensibly priced drinks. Ate here in a party of 7 - all enjoyed the evening.

This place never disappoints. We walked in at 9.45pm on a Wednesday and it was busy. This is deserved. They fitted us in upstairs. The service is quick and efficient. The food is delicious. We shared four different main courses and I couldn't chose a favourite. Thumbs up to the chef and whole team - a fantastic little curry house... More

Description
With such a wide range of offerings in Brentwood, finding an Indian restaurant that has just the right mix of atmosphere and hospitality, along with authentic taste and quality spices and ingredients, is not as easy as one might expect. We hope that once you arrive at Chutney Joe, you will feel it was well worth the journey
Initially this restaurant was designed by Blink Interiors of London in 2005 to give a very stylish and contemporary feel in the dining area and a fusion of old, modern and sophisticated with ethnic & cultural hints throughout.
With our wealth of experience, you can be sure that Chutney Joe will be a firm favourite for those who enjoy exceptional cuisine for many years to come. Our events team have successfully entertained many top corporate events, for companies such as Deutsche Bank, Channel Four, Metro, The Guardian, The Body Shop, The Rookery Hotel EC1 etc. We have also hosted many 'A' List celebrity parties.
We have many years of experience in providing catering to standards of excellence. We believe you will enjoy what we have to offer in this area, as well as our food.
Our cuisine is a combination of subtle tastes, fragrant and exotic spices imported from India and are delicately blended to create the original distinctive flavour and aroma.
