Visited today for Afternoon Tea for 2 (a late mother's day treat for my mum) I called before we went to ask if my daughter can also join us and they were more than happy to accommodate for her. When we arrived we were greeted by 2 very friendly members of staff who when brought our prosecco out to us,... More

Absolutely smashing welcome really friendly people easy on line booking, excellent setting, well it was when they put the heating on which they were happy to do, nice balanced menu not extensive but enough to choose from and good parking on site was another bonus, and fairly priced

Although it tends to be quiet, I have visited midweek. At least it is reliable in staying open which tends not to be the case for many such places early in the week. A smallish but pleasant restaurant which seems to be good value and appreciated by diners. There is live music at weekends to makes for a lively and... More

Just passing by this pub on a Saturday afternoon I noticed the menu and it looked very yummy so we booked to bring my mother in law for her birthday later that evening. Full access for a wheelchair which was a big must in where we can go. Well the food was amazing and the service and assistant manager were... More

Bought my Mum an afternoon tea with Prosecco voucher from Groupon for Christmas and finally got to use it today! Well it was definitely worth the wait the sandwiches were freshly made and we were asked if we had any dietary preferences...we said to "hold the prawns"! What was served was a tasty assortment of flavours and fillings served on... More

The pub itself is full of character very old world and for a change the seats are very comfortable but the food is a big let down, the soup was served luke warm as was the main course vegetables were almost raw a skimpy little slice of beef and a great big over cooked Yorkshire pud and hardly any gravy,... We visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon which wasn't extra busy. We were greeted by a man who yawned and rubbed his eyes, and looked like he'd rather be anywhere else but there. Even though we'd booked a table we where taken to the 'last table left' which wasn't well presented. We ordered drinks and the waitress ,who was... More

I ordered a Groupon voucher for myself and 3 friends to have afternoon tea - it was stunning! Beautiful sandwiches, delicious cakes, bottomless tea and coffee and huge potions. We had a lovely waitress who also wrapped up our leftovers for us to enjoy at home the next day. Thank you so much for a brilliant experience!

My daughter took me for afternoon tea today at The Bay Horse, and it was a wonderful and relaxing treat. The venue itself is pleasant and clean with modern decor that manages to complement the traditional building. Afternoon tea consists of freshly made sandwiches, the best scone I've ever had plus large slices of cake. The staff are friendly and... More
