Came here on a Saturday after not being able to get a table at The Lion. However, we were so glad that we came here as the food was divine. The complimentary bread was a nice touch and the pie and stuffed chicken were both faultless. There was a wide selection of desserts, we chose two different cheesecakes from the... More

I love this place, it never disappoints. I booked a table for 10 on a Saturday lunchtime, plus one baby and 2 of our party were gluten free, everyone was catered for. The gluten free and standard menu is great, plenty of choice and really tasty plates of food. The staff and service is always excellent, as are the surrounding... More

Stopped here on a Sunday night. Menu advertised free bread with every large meal. A bread roll arrived with a knife and 2 pats of butter. On querying whether this was the complimentary bread we were told this single roll was for 3 adults. On later questioning we were told we should have asked for more. There was no opportunity... We both decided to meet here for lunch as both needed to sort our business , we had quick lunch . It was allot better than the previous experience and we both had the burger washed down by a glass of Italian red . Seated by the red brick fireplace and was quite discrete . Thank you for a nice... Quite dissappointed with our visit here tonight at about 18.30 to 19.45.Local men, drinking at the bar very very loud.had mobile phones on loud speaker!!! No regard for people dining at all, wanted to be heard and seen. Sure their drinking brings in money but sure people who experience this will not return.

Last night we went for a meal at the Hare and it was delightful. We were greeted with a cheery hello from the bar man. Once we got our drinks we sat down to choose our meal. The bar man also suggested a white chillian sauvignon blanc which was very good and went down a treat. We were given complementary... More

We went to the Hare at Roxwell for Mother's Day. Overall the food was ok, the potatoes on one of the meals were hard, but these were changed with no problem. I had the biggest bit of skate, I've seen in my life. Well cooked and very tasty. My daughters steak was cooked medium by mistake, again the staff couldn't... More

Nice decor Very expensive drinks...nearly £5 for a beer Menu is limited and mediocre at best If you're in this area I would strongly recommend to try the Fox and Goose just down the road where both food and drink is better with more honest prices

Comfortable friendly surroundings with thankfully no music, but still very noisy when full. Quite a long wait for food, but it was very busy. You cannot book ahead. Food nicely presented and freshly cooked, but don't bother with the "posh chips", not worth it
