Booked a table midweek for four people, 6.30pm. On arrival at 6.25pm we made it clear we would like our food quickly if possible, 35 mins later we had to start asking for some service, where is our food etc etc. All in all, this place is clearly not set up to manage people in larger numbers, it was awful... We were staying at the Ramada Hotel so decided to try the restaurant. It has recently changed from an Italian restaurant to a mainly British food . Gammon & fish & chips were our choices. Large portions hot & tasty food . Very friendly staff & quick service . We also had breakfast here which was hot & cold buffet... More

some of the food choices were a bit odd - eg the melon / cheese / rocket salad. portions were reasonable, menu of day gives reasonable selection, but it's fixed, ie always the same!

Not much choice of food if you are on half board, it would of been better if we could of choose from the other menu and paid the difference but never got the choice offered to us

the service was good and the staff seemed eager to please. I had meat balls as a starter and then a pizza. Both were okay came in at around £26.00 with a large glass of wine.

This was a very nice hotel restaurant with a bistro style menu and good wine list. The staff were very helpful. Do try the potted mackerel for a starter it was delicious!

I tend to have low expectations when I go out for Italian food as being Italian myself makes me rather bias. However, the fact this restaurant tries to pass itself off as Italian is just shocking. I ordered the garlic pizza bread, which was a thick doughy mess with tasteless cheese on it and it didn't even taste of garlic.... More

Eating in hotels can bring much pleasure or end in grief. In France you should always have a good reason for NOT eating in the hotel. In Italy, in modern business hotels, the experience can be somewhat cheerless, with singletons poised over their laptops and iphones as they tackle their pasta in the bright lighting these establishments favour. .Since the... From my, albeit limited, experience of this place, I would definitely recommend it if you happen to be in that area of Manchester (although why you'd want to be in that area of Manchester is a different question). It doesn't purport to be fancy - you wouldn't go there for a special occasion - but for a reasonably priced basic... More
