We have visited this pub on two occasions with our walking group. Both times we have been very impressed. The quality of food and service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them even when they are busy. We would highly recommend this pub.

A nice rustic pub with lots of stuff to look at and read on the walls. Food was very good and the price was reasonable. Dog friendly but we didn't know that as we would have brought our own pooches!

Had lunch there with my walking group of 9 people and everyone has agreed this is definitely in the top 5 pubs / restaurants of the 137 we have visited so far. The pub inside is absolute class, its history is there for everyone to see, the service was superb and the food was one of the best we had... More

My friends and i have been walking on Tuesdays for years and have visited many fine pubs in Berks, Hants, Bucks, Surrey and so on. Just recently we have tried to find some pubs that we had not visited before, which numbered around 130. One of our group came across the Tripadvisor reviews of the Yew Tree so we decided... More

We returned here to celebrate a friends 60 th birthday, we booked and were told to come early rather than later which we did and although we arrived at 12.15 , it was very busy, but we had a nice table by the window and just relaxed, food was very prompt, lamb shoulder was succulent and fell of the bone,... Each visit never disappoints, from the friendly service to the phenomenal food, all round its one of the best pubs I've been to! Atmosphere is warm and inviting any time of the year. The duck and lasagna are an absolute must!!

Beautifully situated in the Hampshire countryside - this is a gem of a pub to find. We were greeted warmly and as the weather was good we enjoyed a pre-lunch drink in the garden before going into the restaurant. A lovely varied selection on the menu with starters, mains and desserts all reasonably priced. The food did not disappoint with... More

My partner and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't book so made sure we got to the pub early. We managed to get a table next to log fire. The pub itself has that authentic pub feel, full of character and charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, which always help in the experience. My partner and... More

We stopped here during a long walk for lunch. Lovely outside area with big tables. Good choice on the menu, great food and very friendly service.

I was looking for somewhere to take my 81 year old mum for Mother's Day, and came across The Yew Tree. As the reviews on this were so good, I phoned and booked......and am so glad I did - it was brilliant: friendly staff, great food (large portions and fantastic presentation), really good value for money. It will stay in... More
