Having sampled ales from the other establishments in the village, this is the only one that offers a consistent quality of ale. Always kept well. Well deserved of the casque marque.

Staying at a local hotel who recommend this pub. Food is excellent, had the steak and ale pie, lovely home made food, such a treat after a long day. Pub busy, full of locals and business alike. Highly recommended.

Lovely home cooked food. Very friendly welcome with landlord and landlady so helpful with a nonagenarian. Sat by a lovely fire such a lovely warm friendly feeling. Will return

if you want a traditionl menu and just lovely comfort food this place never dissapoints and the menu has plenty to pick from . . . never had a bad meal here
