We stopped off on our way past for a drink and decided to stay and try the carvery. The meat was tender, the vegetables freshly cooked and the staff friendly. I would recommend trying this place and the carvery for £6.50

I like the Vine, but don't expect too much. It is a perfectly reasonable pub, with decent beer and acceptable pub grub, with prices to match the quality. The staff are also normally very pleasant. Just don't go there if you want something special.
