Well we arrived for our second visit, the first one being in 2011, for again a warm welcome which was extremely welcome in view of the howling icy cold wind which was blowing. We were so grateful for our beer and most palatable East Coast pale ale which I have never had before after the walk there battling with the... More

I visited the pub Easter Saturday with my Wife, 7year old Son and Outlaws. The pub has a great setting with fantastic views and walks to be explored. We had lunch which was traditional and wholesome with all plates left clear; Children are also accommodated on the menu. There are a good selection of ales and the pub has many... More

We visited this pub for the first time in 30 years. It's still much the same. Situated on the outskirts of faversham. built on marshland which often used to flood. The long private trackway leading to it Is a challenge. The pub has great character. Good beer straight from the barrels. (Behind the bar) It's quiet and peaceful. It's a... More

What a joy to find this lovely old pub steeped in history right on the waters edge of the Medway .Took a bit of finding and a roundabout route in the car but well worth the trip .The pub on entering was quite a surprise ,low ceiling and packed with Outside is a spacious garden favoured by dog walkers and... Visited a number of times. Probably the most interesting Pub anywhere. It is our friends favourite Pub. Warm atmosphere and never disappoints.

After visiting 3 times in December with friends I decided to really see what it would be like to be a "regular" at the Shipwrights. I booked a room in town 2 weeks ago and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the pub, having drinks, lunch and great conversations with the locals and real regulars. This is a place I... More

Not easy to find in the fog and darkness of the estuary, but really worth it. There were some locals but we were the only "tourists" eating. The sea bass special was really excellent.

Just a great out of the ways place with honest beer and food. Go for a walk on the sea wall or relax by one of the many fireplaces inside.

My friends really liked the pub which is an original and not 'corporate'. I have been there a few times and at other times enjoyed the garden on a hot day. This time we enjoyed warm cosy surroundings for a yummy ham, eggs and chips before continuing our walk. I think they close Mondays in colder months so do check... More
