The choice of decent bars in this area is rather slim, but, the King George stands out as a great place to go for a pint an some good scoff. The pizza was lovely. Loads of history, looks like a naval museum inside! Great Sunday roast.

This is a testament to the days of HM Naval base Chatham. Lots of memorabilia, fine ales on tap and really wholesome food, especially the Sunday roast. Always a friendly welcome and a chat. I love this pub, it is my favourite in Medway.

This place looks great from the outside, the painting of the King George V battleship on the wall sets the tone. Inside it's wall to wall navy memorabilia. The landlord couldn't be more friendly or knowledgeable about beer and running a good pub. On to the food, just top, top notch pub food. Kids had bangers and mash, superb sausages,... More

.... but the alternative meal we had was well worth it, Steak and ale pie and mash with delicious gravy, both my partner and I had the same and both enjoyed it immensely, will definitely make a habit of coming here, look forward to the roast next Sunday, good old fashion pub bought back memories of my navy days.

Went here today for Sunday lunch with the family and we were not disappointed. The welcome was really friendly and all the staff were lovely. Good sized portion of meat and potatoes and then pretty much as much veggies as you can eat which are brought separate containers full of broccoli, cabbage, chunky carrots and cauliflower cheese. We were asked... More

The landlord of this pub organises a yearly local beer festival which we attended a month ago. The festival programme included an invitation to visit the pub and obtain a 20% discount on food, for up to a group of four, on production of the programme. This we did and we were not disappointed. The roast Lamb and Beef was... More
