Didn't have the highest expectations for the food here, which was probably for the best. Cosy and friendly atmosphere, however the food is slightly under par. Rather tasteless and not the greatest quality, but does its job as standard pub food. Overall not a disappointment, but nothing special either.

We like this place. I don't live in the area but I drop my son off at piano practice round the corner and I take my daughter with me so that we can pop in to the Flying Saucer for an after school treat while we wait for him. Matt and all the staff behind the bar are really friendly... More

Used to be a regular customer here. Then it closed for a refurb so returned again and was disappointed. It's been many months so I returned at lunchtime but found all is still not well. Bar customers get priority attention, waited a long time despite no other diners, orders came to table at wrong times and the food was tasteless.... More

I popped in here with my friend whilst staying in Gillingham. Friendly restaurant, reasonably priced for food. Good pub grub. Fairly busy pub though. Large outdoor seating area looked lovely lit up.

Been here few years ago and it was, in a word, disgusting! We visited this evening on way to fireworks and I have to say it was a really enjoyable meal. It certainly wasn't Michelin Star, but for 2 meals under £11 it never will be. The steak was cooked perfectly, the food was hot and to ensure it wasn't... More

Visited the Flying Saucer today for Sunday lunch! Big mistake. The food was low quality, hard and salty. I could not cut into the Yorkshire pudding and a hand saw was not an option in the cutlery tray, the stuffing was like a musket ball and the meat I am sure was an old shoe! The gravy stuck to the... First time in this pub so I may well have been unlucky. What could and should have been a perfectly acceptable but unexceptional meal was let down by a piece of steak of such low quality it made Wetherspoons food like 3 Michelin star fine dining. Spend a little more on sourcing the meat please, what I ate should only... More
