We were expecting so much better. We went in on a Sat night for local seafood and a few pints.. the place was quiet and they didn't have much food. The cook was odd, verging on rude, she kept telling us how ill she was...More

My wife and I visited this place after having had an excellent experience at its sister establishment, The Chapel, in Broadstairs so had high hopes. Although I had wanted to have a beer the pumps were being cleaned so I had to settle for a...More

Excellent pub, but don't order the pies. My white fish pie came with microwave mash and congealed brown gravy. Not appealing. Excellent beers, ales and cider on tap though, and a real fire.

Visit The Lifeboat often I guess and it never disappoints, the beers are AB Fab and the vegetarian pie and mash is delish. Has great atmosphere and whomever I've bought with me always love it. The atmosphere is comfy espesh when the fire is lit...More

Lisa Magdalena- what a fantastic host. Beautiful wine, tasty cheese board but must of all attended to by a brilliant host. Literally the friendliest service in Margate. Lifeboat is a simply must visit - Lisa makes the lifeboat the local seaside gem it is!!!

Not been in for a while as we don't live locally - only visit family in Margate. Slight issue with pricing - first round was £19 & the second was £11. Only difference was the first had an apple juice in the round, is this...More

Must agree with Andrew M below. I posted a rave review in the past, but now they've ruined it with a refurb. Ridiculously expensive over-chilled Brewdog beers, only two real ales on pump and truly hideous bright indoor signage like a Chinese takeaway. It used...More

First used the Lifeboat when we needed a glass of wine for the BYO at the L'Olivio Italian restaurant next door. The landlady was lovely. We went back another day with three dogs and sat by the gorgeous open fire. Again the staff were brilliantly...More

This little stunner has saw dust on the floor and a fire in the inglenook. Great position across from the 16th Century market Square and you can sea the sea if you sit out side. But it's true talent lies in being an indoor pub...More

Popped in here on our Sunday walk with the dog by the beach. Super quaint no frills, sawdust ( literally) pub. Really warm welcome from the landlady. Great selection of brew dog beers. Had the jet black heart, oatmeal stout, delicious. Plus a selection of...More

I'm pretty sure they are very relaxed as far as bringing your dog into the bar providing it's not the size of a St. Bernard as the bar is quite small
