Good real food at reasonable prices Visited with family and as usual the service was good and the selection of food outstanding. Tapas type selection is great and we particularly likes the Vegetarian selection which is available for two or four diners. The only criticism...i would make is that the lack of soft furnishings makes it very noisy.More

We were in whitstable for a week in July 2021 and this was without doubt the best meal we had, which Is no mean feat as there are lots of excellent restaurants in the area. On top of the delicious food, the restaurant had a...great vibe with the open kitchen set up and the waiting staff were very attentive and polite. Lovely experience, thank you!More

Absolutely loved it here. Lovely, friendly staff and the food was amazing, great combination of flavours, everything fresh and delicious and yummy cocktails. We came with lots of allergies and fussy children between us and everybody left happy. The home made fried gnocchi were amazing...- and the spinach peas and samphire dish so fresh, it was like eating a seaside garden. Delicious mackeral and chorizo too. The ice cream flavours were amazing and desserts are generously portioned. There's a great buzzy atmosphere but all the tables are spaced out so you have your privacy too. The decor is really fun and eclectic. It's right by the sea and it was great to glance out of the window as the weather got worse and then better again. They are extremely clear in their booking and their follow up confirmation emails that they need us to wear masks when not sitting at the table. We were completely happy to. All their Covid secure measures, including masks, hand sanitiser and keeping to max 6 people meant we all felt safe including our elderly parents. We had a fantastic afternoon and would love to go back one day.More

Amazing! Haven’t been here for a long time but now we remember how wonderful it is. The food is sublime, the ambience is buzzy, the decor is lovely and the service is so good. Our waiting staff were faultless: Orla and a young, keen guy...(sorry, I’ve forgotten your name) were attentive and friendly. Thank goodness it’s back open.More

My group of girlfriends and I were very much looking forward to our first visit to Jojo's as we'd heard such good things. We booked to have dinner on Thursday, 22nd July and as it was such a lovely evening, we decided to walk from...our holiday let in central Whitstable. However, it took slightly longer than anticipated, so we tried to ring Jojo's to say that we would be a few minutes late. No one answered the phone so two of us decided to race ahead. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by whom we presumed to be the manager. My friend apologised for us being late and when she told him that nobody had answered the phone, his very curt reply was: "We don't answer the phone when we're busy and we wouldn't have heard it anyway." He then asked us to put on our masks. I realised that I'd forgotten mine and when I told him this he said, very snottily: "Not sure we can let you in then. I'll have to go and see if I can find you a mask. *WE'RE* trying to keep people safe." Off he went, leaving my friend and me open-mouthed! He returned a few seconds later with a mask and a slightly better attitude. He then led us to our table and said "Enjoy your evening." Five minutes later, the other two people in our party arrived, one of whom had also forgotten her mask due to a change of handbag. "Can you put your masks on?" said the same obnoxious manager. My friend explained that she had forgotten to put one in her bag. He then said: "I've already given one mask to a member of your party, so that'll be £2. Please step outside and I'll go and see if I can find another." My friend then said that legally she wasn't required to wear one. He then said: "That's government policy and we don't agree with it." He returned with a mask for her to put on and showed them to our table. My friend was in tears because of the way she had been spoken to and wanted to leave immediately. I'd already given Jojo's my credit card details so I knew that if we just got up and left, we would be classed as a 'no-show' and so would have been charged £20 ahead. So we stayed. The waiting staff were lovely, the food was lovely, but unfortunately, we were all left feeling a little bit subdued. We finished our meal and left as quickly as we could. Jojo's was the only cloud on an otherwise fabulous couple of days in Whitstable. We will not be returning!More

Using the best quality, freshest, simple ingredients Jojo’s serve the most delicious food. Their staff are all great and the wine list (and cocktails) are superb. As for the location, atop Tankerton Slopes, it is hard to beat.

Nicky, the chef/co-owner always does us proud. She always chooses exceptional ingredients and does something amazing with them. The beauty is the menu changes daily but there is always a standard menu along with this, where you can choose your favourites. You can either choose...small portions or larger ones to share. The fish is the freshest you'll get anywhere. We had the meze board to start and glad we only had the half-board, we would never have eaten our other dishes otherwise (and there were 4 of us!).More

We were visiting the area for a weekend and had a lovely lunch at JoJo's on a Friday. The waitress helped us work out how much to order for 3 of us and got it spot on! Service was fantastic. Food was beautiful, especially the...mackerel . Would definitely recommend to others.More
