This was my 2nd time here, after a fab sunday lunch with friends. Didn't disappoint! Lovely surroundings, open fire, dogs welcome and friendly staff. The food is excellent and well priced. We had the burger and cheese pie this time and it was amazing! Only issue was getting up agter and driving home, as we could have stayed all day!

My parents, my partner and I stayed here last weekend as we were going to a wedding reception at Mitton Hall in the next town. It had a lovely 'country pub' atmosphere - the staff are great and very pleased to welcome you to the quaint 17th century building. My partner and I stayed in one of the twin rooms... More

This is a great place to eat if you want to eat good English food. I have eaten here twice and would recommend the butter pie and the tomato soup but the best course was the sticky toffee pudding for desert! It is also a nice setting if you just want to have a quiet drink in the evening. The... More

My wife and I have just returned from a short break, staying at the Shireburn Arms. Log fires, extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially Didier, the general manager who demonstrated the best of Gallic and Lancastrian hospitality. We ate at the restaurant and can confidently recommend the food as hearty and wholesome. Just what we wanted on cold winter evenings.

We went along to this beautiful pub for a wedding, we were pleasantly surprised, the food far exceeded our expectations, wedding food can sometimes be churned out but this wasn't the case.

At short notice they fit us in! I've driven past this Hotel/Restaurant for many years and not once have I thought about going in - what a shock I had!! From the moment I called them and the manner I was spoken to I knew I was onto a winner. We went on Christmas day and the room, atmosphere, table,... More
