Recently went on a bread making course with Jan at Cheesie Tchaikovsky. What an amazing day. Great to meet new people and to be guided through the many different breads by the incredibly organised, skilled and delightful Jan. She works incredibly hard and expects the...More

Highly recommend. A little difficult to locate as tucked away but once found, it's in a perfect and quiet location with a fantastic view to Pendle hill. The food is more deli than fine dining but perfect for lunch and the stag were very good....More

Buoyed by reviews on TA my friend & I had lunch. We both opted for a cheesy tart with a scone base & salad. I enjoyed mine but it was too much scone & not enough topping for my friend. We had sat downstairs in...More

We had a sandwich and tea and hot chocolate. Really nice and fresh. The service was a little slow but overall a great little find which I will use again.

We had a lovely meal here. A good selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike in a really relaxed environment. I agree with all the other reviewers who describe it as a hidden gem. Particularly impressed by the fresh salads.

This is a gem of a place just down an alleyway opposite Costa. Although a cheese heaven I had the seafood platter which I had some months previous. The freshness and quality is still as I remember and so very happily recommend this place as...More

Relaxing lunch with my Mum. Light and airy decor. Wonderful menu keenly priced. Fish platter and feta and avocado salad both excellent. Food well presented. Artisan home-made bread and beautiful salads. Owner clearly passionate about food, quality sourcing and hospitality. Thank you.

Our cafe, deli and specialist cheese shop is located in the old Lee Carter Gym building between Castle Street and Lowergate. Best found by either parking in the Lowergate car park and coming up the steps in the left hand corner, or from Castle Street- nip down the narrow alley opposite Costa Coffee. The building is very long and thin so you can't see everything we do without exploring. There are also changes of level in the approach to and inside the premises and we will help anyone with mobility issues wherever possible. We have a loo downstairs, just ask, as well as the main one upstairs, but access still involves a couple of steps.
