Really homemade food, the restaurant looks very French somehow and old fashioned but in a very good way. Owners are lovely too. Price wise, between 36 and 50 quid a head. Good fish dishes and yummy starters. Not sure why by night always look quite...More

La Zouch is an unpretentious cosy little restaurant, tea room and Alladin's cave of fine wine and whisky. If you are expecting fashionable metallic grey furnishings and trendy fusion food, then perhaps this is not the place for you. What it does offer is excellent...More

Step back in time with this unique place. We had tea and scones. The place may seem old fashioned but it is absolutely spotlessly clean....all the whisky bottles, everything. Thank you.

Just popped in with my wife and her cousin for afternoon tea. Geoff and his wife were their usual chatty helpful selves. I always enjoy chatting with someone who has an in depth knowledge of his subject. Geoff's encyclopedic knowledge of wines and spirits is...More

Reasonable food but nothing really of of this world. For what it is worth it is way over priced. Some nice staff but not all. Upstairs rooms getting really in need of some attention. The owners think it is better than it is. I'm sure...More

From the moment you walked in where you got the impression you were an imposition, to the eyelash in the hot chocolate, to the toastie on white bread when brown was asked for, due to an intolerance (and told 'we only do brown') to listening...More
