2nd time been here for lunch & we weren't disappointed, food all home made & cooked to perfection, staff were very friendly & quite busy so the ambience was good. They also do smaller portions if you only have a small appetite, will definetley be back.

Having eaten here on a number of occasions previously we expected to enjoy our meal and were not disappointed. The valentines day special involved a varied and exciting 3 course menu for £65 per couple (including a bottle of prosecco) and was certainly great value for money. The only slight negative was that chef could do to cut his portions... More

Visited today for lunch. My partner had the pate starter which was superb, then for mains lamb chops with mustard mash and said they were the best ones he had ever tasted , large and cooked to perfection. I had beer battered haddock, homemade chunky chips and mushy peas with a lovely side salad, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. The... More

The New Inn has been my favourite haunt since Carl & Alyn Tinkler took over. Great staff, cheerful atmosphere & the chef-proprietor, combined with consistently delicious food & beer, make the New Inn a genuine destination pub. I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Having grown up during the 1950's on a farm not too far from the village (now living in Somerset) it was super to visit the village pub remembered from my childhood which was still there and thriving. The warm friendly atmosphere created by locals and visitors alike made for a relaxing evening. The quiz provided a source of entertainment in... More

It was the best Sunday roast pub lunch I've ever eaten! The three courses for £15.95 represented excellent quality and value for money. I had a prawn starter, roast beef with all the trimmings and a sticky toffee pudding to beat the rest. There was a lovely atmosphere and he service was first class. Be sure to book as it... More

Have been here on quite a few occasions and it never fails to please. Visited last Friday with friends and safe to say we all came away feeling well fed to say the least. I had the scallop and prawns stir fry with Thai salad to start with delicious, followed by the chicken wrapped in bacon quite a substantial portion... More

Went for lunch on 18th. We both had a delicious meal of salmon followed by a brandy snap and a steamed syrup sponge. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.
