Staying at a farm with log cabin nearby we wanted to venture out for food and this was one of the recommendations. Upon arrival the pub was in a picturesque location and was lovely. The food was very nice and plentiful. The pub was quiet Not many locals here reliant on meals. Having said that i would recommend the place.

Lovely place, .The staff were great, offering lots of little thoughtful added extra touches, which really made our evening enjoyable. There was a good range of food on the menu and was served piping hot which was lovely. We would definitely recommend this place and will be returning

It has been some time since we visited this pub so it was nice to find things are still as good as we remembered. The staff make this place with their friendly service and a willingness to accommodate even the fussiest eater. Lovely atmosphere great food and an enjoyable evening out with friends

Prawn cocktail (loveable classic) chicken supreme but asked for zakaroff sauce (usually with pork) gorgeous. Hubby steak and mushroom pie (Prefers shortcrust rather than puff pastry) but all in all superb

We took my mother in law out for Sunday lunch. Great food. Great friendly attentive staff. Far better than the new inn at Brompton. You get what you order / ask for, it is served promptly and is hot when you get it. And the staff can't do enough for you to ensure your experience is enjoyable. The complete opposite... More

Tried this place looking for somewhere different to take my ancient dad for Sunday lunch. I had pork and he had Chinese battered cod as he has trouble swallowing meat. Both were very nice and the service was excellent from someone who works in a pub themselves. We will certainly be back.

Thank Judith W
