I must congratulate the chef at the Cottage Inn for the superb meal he presented this evening. The starter - "Sharing Seafood Platter" of crab, smoked mackeral pate, large prawns, prawns in sauce with salad and bread was a delight. Fortunately, I chose the "small" portion of the catch of the day as my main course and washed it down... More

What can I say the black pudding and goats cheese starter with peppercorn sauce was stunning, roast of the day in giant Yorkshire pudding, even when they had none left they made 3 small ones up. Great service as ever

We first found this pub a few months ago when the road into Craster was closed and we had to take a detour - the detour passed the Cottage Inn so we decided to give it a try. The food was lovely - we both opted for the seafood mornay, as did the couple on the next table who enjoyed... More

Late November and we are finding a lot of places are not open for food. Cottage Inn is always open and the staff are welcoming. Park at the rear, plenty of space but down an unlit, heavily pot-holed drive. The food is ok but nothing special but nothing bad, hence an average rating.

We were staying in our caravan close by and this was the nearest place to eat within walking distance for our children. We booked a table for 6pm and we were pleasantly surprised when we entered the light and airy dining area. Our orders were taken promptly and our food arrived quickly although we were the first in the dining... More
