Lunch time on a Saturday with friends. Lovely place, staff welcoming. There were not enough staff on duty to have someone to be able to call when something was needed. At one point I went in search fro more bread to find no-one around and certainly wasn't going to go to reception. Same happened again at a later stage, Was... More

Just excellent service, beautifully prepared dishes . Brilliant value. The conservatory has just a few tables, which makes dining an intimate experience.

We went for dinner as a Birthday treat and was not disappointed. The food is simply wonderful, we had chicken liver parfait and lobster ravioli for starters, roast hake and calves liver for mains and for dessert, bitter chocolate for my Husband and I had the Wild damson souffle - they were all truly amazing in taste and presentation. Service... More

Had originally booked for a tasting menu and wines that a wine rep was putting on but he cancelled. We decided to go anyway and so glad that we did. The staff were excellent, especially the lady who did pair wines to the dishes and went through each one with us. It was a real treat. The dinner room was... More

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime with a group of 6 friends. From start to finish, the service was immaculate. Nice warm welcome and made us feel comfortable. Didnt feel pretentious at all which us sometimes the problem with nice restaurants. Was seated in the conservatory area which was nice and airy. The food was fantastic. The starter of cheese souffle... More

This was our first visit since the sad death and I am happy to say the high quality level of food and service has been maintained. Great meal at a fair price.

I have stayed here numerous times with lovely dining, never pretentious, and superb bedrooms. This Ladies Night did not turn out to be the best event I have been to here. Not quite as advertised but there were stalls with lovely merchandise to buy or order. One glass of champagne cocktail on arrival, and savoury and sweet canapés were served... More

My wife, elder daughter and her fiance treated me to afternoon tea at Langar Hall this afternoon. There was much positive anticipation by us all, not least due to the baseline cost of £22.95 a head; sadly our experience did not reflect our expectations. Not only was the service lacking, with no effort to check whether we were enjoying our... More

Afternoon Tea at Langar Hall is £22.50 per head, this includes a selection of sandwiches, freshly baked cakes, biscuits, scones topped with clotted cream, tea, coffee and inclusive of 20% VAT. We try our best to make sure gluten free guests have a varied and diverse choice. Given that the traditional afternoon tea options are mostly bread & cake based,... More

An outstanding dinner for a friends' 50th birthday party. The options on the menu were very well balanced, and the meal was excellent, and very slick service from all the staff. The very quirky décor lends itself to a unique dining experience, and will definitely be back....
