Fantastic food, we visited Easter Saturday. Very surprised to see it wasn't busy at all. The food was excellent. Couldn't fault one dish. I had the Stilton & Beetroot Salad. Others had Fish & Chips either large or small plate, Canelloni, Cheese burger, the chips were homemade and the bread came in a plant pot, freshly made. Pudding portions big... More

My family and I visited when staying at Lower Micklin farm just down the road. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, particularly with our children. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and children are well catered for, particularly with the make your own pizza option which my son loved. Myself and my parents loved our mains of fish and... More

Me and partner was looking around the area for a restaurant and stumbled across this one. The place was lovely inside, very relaxed. I ordered chicken liver pate for starters and cannelloni for mains. Other than the chef forgetting the redcurrant jelly for my starter, i have never tasted such tasty food! The homemade bread was gorgeous, the pate was... More

We ordered our food off the extensive menu and they were very accommodating for my 2 year old daughter by ensuring that she would had the food she wanted and also making... More

This place Was an absolute godsend after the swarms of people at the park. We arrived just after 2pm, there was plenty... More

Ate there twice during our recent visit to Alton Towers. The Mixed Great was huge, and all the food we had was great. They usually don't serve food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so pick your night.

This pub is very close to Alton Towers so there were lots of families there having a good time, but this is also a proper village pub with atmosphere to match. Food was mostly pub classics, well put together and generously portioned. There's also a child's menu.
