The best food I have tasted the crime brûlée is the smoothest I have. Ever had ,the steaks are great ,there is nothing I have tried which I haven't enjoyed ,and fine local brew beers too

Whilst staying at Blackshaw Moor Caravan Park the warden recommended the lazy trout. Warm welcome, great food, the steak melted in the mouth and it's dog friendly. A really characterful pub, can't recommend it highly enough. I would advise booking as it's a popular place.

First visit to this venue for us, accompanied by our eldest daughter. We called in adhoc hoping for a Sunday roast. Whilst it was really busy the staff helped us to get a table (we only had an hour but they did help us). We all had a roast beef dinner and it was lovely, really couldn't fault it. My only advice would be if you want to be guaranteed a table... More

My wife and I visited The Lazy Trout with two friends to celebrate their wedding anniversary, we had not been before, however, we will definitely be visiting again. what a great pub/restaurant, very traditional old world style in the countryside, the menu was excellent and we were spoilt for choice.
