What a superb pub! So clean and full of charm. The hosts are so friendly and focused. It must be one of the cleanest pubs I have been in. Lots of books - well maintained and upholstered seats. Friendly bar staff. Nothing seems too much...More

If we ignore the extremely well stocked bar, the great service, traditional English charm and character, put aside the exceptional real ales, then the warmth and friendliness of the locals still makes this a place worth visiting. Make a detour - you won’t regret it...More

Love the ambience of this old pub...one of the few typical old English pubs left !! Bar staff very friendly and polite..great atmosphere..love the ceiling with its hanging jugs.(.it seems to change hands very frequently though ..in terms of landlords) ...still love going there though...More
