Myself and my family visited Rackstraws for a birthday meal. Jess our waitress was polite and attentive. The food however was terrible!!!!!! We waited 45mins for our meals, then when they arrived we all commented on the small portions and the fact that one of the orders was infact wrong. I had ribs which were basically jelly, there was no... More

Busy but our server Juan was very good. All staff, even the management, were pulling together - lovely to see. Only down side, it was our anniversary, we had a free bottle of wine but even though it was a one off voucher, we couldn't use it with the 50% off mains

My partner and I have just visited the Rackstraws for Sunday lunch. We had the roast lamb and the vegetarian roast option which was a mushroom in pastry dish. While the meat was ok the roast potatoes were solid and inedible. We waited approximately 40 minutes for the food to arrive even though the place was virtually empty and by... More

Turned up to a wonderful building and lovely set out, very early on a Friday evening with 3 friends for dinner. After waiting 45 minutes for food when it was dead, the food was cold and poor. We hoped we may get some resolution ordering dessert only for the waitress to throw it on the table and not even take... More

Cooked breakfast terrible, dried everything, very unappealing. When we complained we were offered our money back immediately, felt like they were used to such complaints. Obviously not the first to complain. Try elsewhere.

Why loose the name Rackstraws. This land mark in Sandhurst has recently been refurbished together with a dropping of its well known name. Thought we would try this place again before considering it for a family birthday celebration. I am sorry to report that despite the pleasant waitress the food was poor quality, tough steak poorly cooked and very late.... More

We thought we would treat ourselves to breakfast at Rackstraws and wish we hadn't! There was a good selection of continental breakfast items but the cooked breakfast was awful........bacon hardly cooked, bubble and squeak cold and potatoes were hard. Scrambled egg tasted almost like powdered eggs!! The service was not good either, to be fair to the one waitress there... More

Beefeaters are generally reliable - you know you are getting reasonable standard food for a reasonable price, nothing fantastic, but good value. This at least has been our experience in our area (Sevenoaks). However, while staying with my son's family over Christmas, we took the family out for lunch at the local Beefeater, Rackstraw's. The starters were fine, and I... More

Had the Festive menu 2 courses for £15.00 Roast spuds were rock hard , couldn`t even cut into them ,sprouts much the same scared they were going to fly off the plate. Turkey and the rest was just luke warm. Gravy had lumpy jelly bits in. Very disappointing especially as we had had a Christmas meal for even less and... More

We came here to celebrate our best friends moving into their new home with their kids and was met with a sub standard service. Our food was left on the hot plate for over 8mins and had to even ask a mamber of staff to bring it to us and after complaining we managed to watch another full hot plate... More
