Really lovely clean pub, very popular with walkers. Dogs allowed too. We met family for a Sunday roast. A delicious choice, we had chicken, beef and lamb shanks all of which were excellent. The service was superb and they accommodated the eight of us happily. A very good dessert menu to choose from and proper coffee to follow. I understand... More

My wife had recently had a nice lunch here with a friend and insisted we did a slight detour to show me. Popped in to see if 'we' would like to have lunch. Unfortunately the kitchen had closed but we stayed for a beer. Bar maid was perfectly pleasant, the range of beers was admirable. And best of all it... More

We went with friends for a late Christmas gathering. The pub is traditional and was reasonably busy with locals who were friendly. The beers on tap were good and a nice selection of wine. We had a selection of starters from pate to generous prawn cocktail. The mains were equally big with the fish batter super crispy and soft crunchy... More

Walked in to an empty pub. It took 3 young girls to change a barrel of lager. Did not know you need to float the seller boy to get lager through. Left tap open. Could not pull a pint. No head no condition. Pints of flat beer. 4 disappointing beers. Not going back.

They have a function room to accommodate large parties. So made a booking for 25 person family meeting. Was not told of any special conditions or menu restrictions, but was asked to give a list of menu requirements before the date of the meeting. Told them one week before and was then told that they would restrict the menu to... More

Been here before with the previous tenants, was very good then. Decided to try it again with the new owners, not disappointed. Had the fish and chips with mushy peas, lovely. Good beer too and plenty choice. Thoroughly enjoyable. Come come come!!!

I have just returned from having lunch with my sister at The Three Horseshoes and we were pleasantly surprised. This is the first time we have visited the pub and we went for the 3 course 'senior' lunches. We found the staff extremely friendly and many of the customers appeared to be regular as they were all very chatty and... More

We arrived at the Three Horseshoes after a 5 hour walk with 2 small babies. We were a little frazzled and tired and gutted to hear that they had just finished serving food. Still, they offered us some lovely tasty sausage rolls and we went to recuperate in the comfy seats in the garden. 3 mins later the manager arrived... More
