We swung by here after a show at the theatre during the South Downs Folk Festival last year, and truly thought this was a gem of a pub. They were holding an ale festival at the same time, and had some great options at reasonable prices. The session was lively and the clientele friendly; evidently the pub is popular, and... More

The William Hardwicke is great and really ticks a lot of boxes. I hadn't been in for the last 10 years or so, but since the management changed a few years ago, I've been in more frequently. As a pub it is large and lively, especially on weekends where the loud music hits. I thought I'd feel out of place... More

Pub itself was quiet, but staff very friendly. We chose the night mid-week they do food (Wednesday). Hubby chose spag. Carbonara and I chose a chicken spicy pizza. Both very good and must mention particularly the pizza - excellent. Apparently pub is very busy weekends with DJ's and karaoke some nights. Nice feel.

Visited at lunchtime while out shopping. It was our first visit, but it won't be the last!. The pizzas were really authentic, the bases not too doughy, really tasty!. We were served by a friendly and helpful young lady, and we very much enjoyed our lunch.

I came here for an Evening Meal whilst on a week's holiday. I was welcomed at the bar my Paige, the Bar Manager who led me to a table. I had already looked at the website so I knew there was an Italian theme to the food. My meal was a Pepperoni Pizza which was delicious and I followed this... More

I come here every Tuesday for the karaoke. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Have not eaten the food here yet but from what I have seen it looks good and people enjoy it. But as a pub it's great but can get very busy in the evenings.

great if you want a night out in a locals bar with music etc late feels a bit of an aggressive atmosphere, queue is way too long and paying £3 to get into what is basically just a pub feels a bit much bar staff are too slow to serve resulting in massive queues

Don't lean on the tables as you may not get off again (so very sticky) they should clean them, and the rest of the restaurant. And as to the food GIVE UP NOW you are not an Italian restaurant and you will never be one. Go back to pub food it will help you get your customers back..

Thank Peter C

One of Bognor's best known and well loved pubs, The William Hardwicke has something for everyone!

We have just launched our new restaurant 'Little Italy' serving authentic Italian cuisine seven days a week, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. All food is freshly cooked and prepared in our kitchen by our experienced chefs.

Our coffee shop is open all day, everyday, with our trained barista’s making the finest Illy coffee and Damman Freres tea with delicious cakes and pastries.

Our cocktail bar is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6.00pm. Alex and his team are excellent mixologists and create heaven in a glass. Cocktails are 2 for £8 from 6-9 each night. Please check our reviews................ lots of people say we are the best cocktail lounge on the South coast!

In the Evening we like to provide you with entertainment, ranging from a fun quiz and bands on a Sunday, karaoke on a Tuesday and DJs at the Weekend. We have 2 huge outside spaces, separate drinking and eating areas, plus a coffee shop......we can guarantee you will have a great day and night.
