The Victory is always a popular lunch destination for our family and our latest visit didn’t disappoint. This cosy pub does traditional favourites (the fish and chips is always excellent) and more ambitious dishes (Roquefort and fig creme brûlée, scallops with pea purée) equally well....More

Lovely place in Staplefield. This place gets more popular by the day. The good and ambience is great. All of the dishes are well prepared..

We visited recently for an evening meal. I had lamb parmontier which was served with tender stem broccoli. It was delicious: succulent lamb with carrots and onions in a thick, tasty gravy. My fellow diners had steak and ale pies (shortcrust pastry) which came with...More

Stopped by chance at Sunday lunch for drinks and nibbles. Lovely looking pub and garden on the outside, typically dark and cramp in the inside. Staff were very friendly, not busy when we arrived but got incredibly full quickly with an hour wait for sharing...More

Thank you for your review. As soon as someone brought to our attention the lock on the door wasn't working I fixed it. Please don't knock our pub for being dark and cramped as it is much loved by everyone who uses it. The sharing...More

Staying with friends they took us to this great pub. It was quiet when we arrived but by the end if our meal it had a nice buzz. Great food, good local Gins and local beer. So good we we back before going home.

have always loved going there, especially on a summers evening. However we found a member of the waitress staff quite abrupt and rude at serving our table. The food was also not up to the usual standard so don't know quite what has happened there.More
