Minimum $58 per person food charge regardless of what’s ordered is a new low in hospitality. It meant we ended paying $50 for 6 prawns. The serving sizes left us considering buying a kebab next door afterwards. Staff were pleasant. Nice drinks
You can believe all the 5 star reviews for this wonderful restaurant - it really is something special. We dined here on a Saturday night whilst staying in Blackheath for the weekend and found ourselves having one of the best dining experiences in many years....The menu is bold and imaginative, the wait staff are friendly, efficient and very well informed and best of all - the skill in the kitchen is obvious with every mouthful. We loved every course, with the ricotta and spinach dumplings being the favourite. Bookings are essential and I would suggest booking at least a week or two in advance to make sure you secure a table. Well done to all at Cinnabar - we will be back!More

After reviewing TripAdvisor re restaurants in Blackheath, I booked Cinnabar. Following the first course, I did something I have never done before, I rebooked for the following evening. My husband and I have travelled to many places across the globe and booked dining experiences based...on TripAdvisor reviews. Cinnabar tops them all. One does not need to travel the world to experience cultural cuisines as they can be sampled in this restaurant in Blackheath. The dishes are varied and tasty. After two visits on consecutive nights, we had sampled most of the menu and the food was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! The chefs are innovative with a talent for combining ingredients to create amazing taste sensations for every course. The team greeting and serving the patrons are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You could not ask for a better dining experience.More
Absolutely delicious food and excellent service in this small restaurant in Blackheath. Food was really tasty especially the yoghurt baked fish , the tempura prawns and the duck liver mousse was divine .The lemon curd meringue was beautiful
The food here was absolutely amazing! We were totally blown away by the variety of flavours and how every dish was beautifully plated up. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful dining experience. We cannot recommend Cinnabar highly enough!
This was a wonderful food experience. I went with 3 girlfriends and we were delighted with the food and service. Each meal was spaced out. It was beautifully presented on the plate. It was like a labour of love. When we left the waiter opened...the door for us. We will be back.
Booked here for a party of 6 recently after reading the reviews. We were not disapointed! The menu had a great selection of foods (share plates). Given we were 6 we had a great selection to enjoy - duck liver mousse; arabian spiced pumpkin, tiger...prawns tempura, poached spinach ricotta dumplings, and braised beef cheeks for the mains and added the moroccan orange blossom beetroot salad, snow peas, layered potatoes and senegalese house made bread rolls as accompaniements. Each dish had it's own unique flavours that were amazing. The desserts didnot disapoint either. My favourite was the lemon curd meringue - yum! There was a great wine list but most of us opted for the aperol spritz with a ginger twist.
The staff were lovely, very helpful and knowledgable of the dishes being presented.
All in all a great night, and quite reasonably priced for 6 including drinks.More
