We ordered the big breakfast X2. Eggs poached perfectly, home made baked beans, preserved beetroot. I wasn't a fan of the bread as such but I assume it was gluten free. Overall it was a homely and healthy meal. The find you feel good about eating 10 mins later. Clean and delicious. Would come back.

Four friends met at the red velvet lounge for breakfast, and all ordered poached eggs on toast with mushrooms or spinach. Plus cappuccinos. Coffees took a while and were cold on arrival. Breakfast. Toast was dry, no butter. Poached eggs poached to the consistency of golf balls. Mushrooms ok. Spinach ok, just. Bill was $91. My best advice is don't... More

Yep. Best tempura mushrooms ever. Fast and friendly service. Enjoyed sitting outside with the kids, they had yummy wedges and nachos.

An interesting place, the decor is an eclectic mix of furniture, including what appears to be some of grandma's old lounge room furniture. Fortunately this allows for a lot of 'people watching' as I t is a location that appears to be frequented by locals and tourists alike. Unfortunately the service is a little slow - 45 minutes for 2... More

Taken to this restaurant by friends who live in town and were happy with their choice. Vegetarian is not something we would choose but we certainly enjoyed our meals and didn't miss the meat. One had Massaman Curry, one Mshroom Risotto, two Nachos. The serving size was very generous and only one managed to clean their plate. The sour cashew... More

This place had a good reputation once so we called in for lunch. We picked up a menu only to find total vegetarian dishes. Upon requesting a real persons menu we were told it's totally vegetarian. Despite their description as " Vegetarian Friendly, Gluten Free Options, Vegan Options" it is TOTALLY VEGETARIAN. We walked out disappointed that real people can't... More

We are not vegetarian but stumbled upon this cafe looking for some lunch. Service was great and food was fantastic. The menu is not extensive but the vegetarian tacos were tasty and the vegetarian nachos satisfied the fussy hubby. Washed down with a nice glass of wine. Would recommend this pit stop.

Good vegetarian food at this restaurant. I had dined there previously and had a roast chicken!!! No meats now available but the beetroot burger and salad meal was excellent. The staff are friendly and service is good.

We had read about this place many times and had high expectations- didn't rate at all for us ! Service was slow and coffee not nearly as good as most others I have had in Tassie this month.

Has been going for quite a few years and has had three or four different proprietors, but has always had an interesting menu. The present owner and chef, Isobel Sykes, is a young woman who has a good training and some experience under her belt. Her menus are inspired; although a good mixture of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free they... More
