We sat outside on the deck whilst watching the Marimbeena load and unload its vehicles and passengers. The food was nicely presented and tasted good, but they forgot to deliver some of our drink orders.

We had a bit of a wait for the ferry so decided to have lunch here. It had a very good menu and wine selection and as they know you are waiting on the ferry the service is prompt. Lovely views from the sunny balcony. Almost worth waiting for the next ferry. They can arrange takeaway if you are pressed... More

Three of us had lunch today, have been a few times. Once again the food was good and the staff were excellent, finished with a lovely coffee. Will return in a few weeks.

This was a lovely place for coffee. The view was magnificent and the home baked scones and home made jam were a treat

Depending on how long you have to wait for the ferry, Mermaid Cafe has great coffee and food. You can sit down and gaze out on the Marina or get a take away. The staff are efficient and quick.

Got some coffee while waiting for the Bruny Island ferry. Just got it in time before the crossing. I expect they are used to this but they could make it a little less nerve racking. Coffee was good though, so most is forgiven.

Called in for a quick coffee before crossing in the ferry. Service was hideously slow. On previous visits the service was fast but today the staff were in slow mode. Poorly organized - and a poor reflection in Tasmanian hospitality.

Get here as quick as you can before everyone else finds out! On sunny day which we had sit outside and enjoy simple local food. The staff were so friendly and well organized. The view of the harbor and the boats coming and going was very entertaining.
