After a resplendent Sunday morning family hike at Mohican, we decided to stop in Loudonville to grab some lunch. The Hanover House stuck out as the best place to eat, promising various specials. It's quaint old-fashioned brick building appearance is matched by the kind demeanor of its employees. We were told to sit anywhere and promptly served. The food arrived... More

I've been to Hanover House several times and found good food, clean and friendly service. The prices and menu are down home and small town comparable.

This place has a real classic diner feel. The menu is primarily burgers and sandwiches but they offer chicken fingers which were surprisingly good despite their appearance. They offer a wide range of desserts that look amazing. They're only open for a few hours during lunch time but it's worth squeezing them into your schedule.

Have been here a few times. Service is fast and friendly: great soups and salads. Desserts are great too. A simple menu but good home cooked style meals.

The Hanover House Diner was the only place open in town. It's hours are from 11:00 am to 2:30, so plan accordingly. Our server was very friendly and helpful, proving us with information regarding things to do. The food was good. I had a burger and my daughter had a Reuben. I loved the sweet brown potatoes.

My husband and I enjoyed the food there, which was what we expected, nothing fancy - average american diner food at a good price. It was nothing we'll be talking about for years to come, but the frozen custard was delicious and definitely the best part! That and the waitress was very quick and attentive, super nice!

So it's a friendly locals and visitors home-style dining place. We were a large group, including children. Our waitress was very friendly, out-going, and helpful. Our orders ranged from soup to sandwiches to kids' chicken pieces and to frozen custard. Soup was homemade which is a real bonus rating from me. No complaints. All yum. The frozen custard was especially... More
