The Spot restaurant has been a fixture in Downtown Sidney for many, many years. They are known for their hamburgers and their pie. The menu includes many other items as well. I recommend Tenderloin sandwich, onion rings and vegetable soup. The restaurant has had a number of well known visitors, including President George W. Bush (there is a burger named... More

When you go to the Spot Restaurant, I was told you have to have the pie! The burger is a staple at this place, so I had that too. Neither was exceptional, but for the price, it couldn't be beat. Total bill for the entire meal, with a side salad and drink, was still $12!!!

I imagine my youth here. My Grandfather and Grandmother bringing me to town to do laundry and get groceries at the IGA. Back then there where 2 spots. One in Piqua and one in Sidney. What an honor it was to have lunch or dinner here. Pictures on the wall showed Chad and Rob Lowe along with there Grandfather eating... More

My husband loves little mom and pop places on two-lane roads and always tries to support them, so returning from a holiday trip to Michigan we stopped at The Spot for lunch. The very first thing I notices was that not a single person working here was friendly. The second thing I noticed was there soda dispensing machine was not... More

This looks like a place that should be on Route 66, great retro atmosphere and no pretension whatsoever. But, the food is just so-so and greasy. The pies sound and look good, the crust is nice and flaky, but the fillings -- I had raspberry and butterscotch pies - are disappointingly bland. If they could step it up a bit... More

You will not be disappointed if you want a Great Old Fashion Hamburger! The homemade pie, onion rings and malts are the best too. If you make it to Sidney, be sure to stop in at the Spot, where several "Famous" people have stopped before to eat. Make sure to go inside to see the cool pictures and the play... More
