Excellent steak and shrimp. Seasoned perfectly. Great fried rice. Our granddaughter was overwhelmed by the” fire” but got used to all the flames. Hope she is willing to come back to this excellent restaurant.

Not sure how this was #7 on your list but they are AMAZING! This is our first choice when we think of Sushi. The dynamite roll is off the charts.
The service and food was wondefrful!! Been here twice, lunch and dinner. Both times everything was delicious and plentiful.
We were seated, sat at a booth for 10 minutes without anyone saying a word to us. Got up and left. Advised manager on the way out. A simple I’ll be right with you would have done wonders.
If you love your salad, soup, and entrees to be dripping with sugar, this is the place for you. I just ate there and I feel light headed and nauseous from all of the sugar that they use. Never again.
I joined 2 friends here for lunch recently for the first time. The service was good and so was the food. Drinks and food aren't cheap so this is kind of a special occasion place. Glad we went!
I went to the Sakura Japanese Steak house for sushi. I’ve been an aficionado of sushi in multiple countries including Japan an had a very good friend who was a Japanese four year trained sushi chef. The sushi chef said he was a local university...student from China. The sushi chef did not clean his knife when preparing different fish. This is basic knowledge. This is not a Japanese sushi restaurant.More
Couldn't enjoy the food because it was hot as hell. Sweating. Pouring water off me. Get some damn air conditioning. Geesh!!
In all fairness we did not dine in for our experience. We were visiting family in the area and they decided on take out service. We had about 5 different entrees and what a mess. Everyone was disappointed with everything from tempura, to crab salad..., chicken and shrimp. Portions were small and quality and taste horrible. Will not be returning on our next visit to Toledo.More
My family and I came here for dinner to celebrate the end of the school year and it did not disappoint. It’s always neat to see the chef cook your food right in front of you, always my favorite part. Service and food were excellent....Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and cooked right. Highly recommend the steak. Will definitely be returning!More
Excellent sushi menu. Hibachi grill meals made while you watch provides great entertainment and tasty dinners. Higher menu prices so many come to celebrate a special occasion.
We have dined here in the past. Which is why I am so confused by what happened last night. This was the first time that we hadn’t eaten at the hibachi tables and we were seated at table at the back of the restaurant. The...table was built into the floor- very unique. Upon seating the waitress explained “no one likes serving these tables because they are so far in the back and she had already made so much in tips today that she could just go home.” Which startled us. It was EXTREMELY cold - cold air blowing out of the vents behind us- we actually lined the vents with our menus and purses and never removed our coats. We did ask if the heat could be turned on (and air off) but the request was never fulfilled. The rest of the visit wasn’t much better- trips to the bar to get our own drinks (as ours were empty and our waitress was absent), walks around the restaurant to find other waitresses for napkins, forks and water glasses to be refilled. The food was good however and our orders all came out correctly. I guess the poor service just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. 😞More
Food (all sushi and sashimi) was pretty good, and the server did as well as she could. But she took drink orders when she could finally get to us, which was a while, and then we waited, all through dinner, until the drinks finally arrived...for dessert. Also, we had a reservation for 6:45, we got there a bit early, and waited until about 7:05 or so until a table became free. In the meantime we had to wait in the bar area at the front of the restaurant, and there was hardly place to stand, let alone sit, and of course people kept going out the side door and freezing us. We had taken my 87-year-old mother there for her birthday. We were glad she survived the experience.More
The waitress was great and that is why I gave them 3 stars. I can't believe how much the chef salted the food. I mean he dumped it on. Half that amount was more than enough. This place always seems to come up short. Just...a few tweaks and it'd be great. I've never seen anyone cook shrimp so long in my life but they call it an appetizer, and serve it late in the meal? The chef asked me how I wanted my steak and then didn't remember what I had said and then overcooked it. Overcooking is the theme here. If I wanted my food overcooked, I'd ask my mother in law to make it.More
One week business trip to Toledo, got a list of restaurants to visit from a local colleague and Sakura was on that list. Went there together with my colleagues, the manager did the reservation and maybe she asked to have us at the griddle I...don't know, but that's where we were seated. One of my colleagues recommended the Hibachi Filet Mignon so that's what I ordered. As starters (we didn't had to ask for it) we got a soup (miso?) and a small salad, both good but nothing extra. Then the chief started to cook, he chopped and cooked everything on the griddle, put up a show for us during the whole time and then he served us directly from the griddle. It was superb! The filet melted in my mouth, the steak sauces matched perfectly to the meat (but I recommend ginger before mustard), the rice and the veggies was delicious. A perfect dinner together with some show, a super evening!More
