We met friends here for dinner after a long day of exploring the Ohio Amish Country, and everyone was quite happy with their meals. I was the only vegetarian and loved the salad bar buffet. Lots of options. If you leave hungry, it's your own...More

This was a busy restaurant, even for a mid week evening. Lots of local variety (beef, chicken, potatoes, veggies and salad options). I was only disappointed to see they didn't offer a dessert table. You could purchase dessert from a menu.

They have a good buffet as well as a full lunch/dinner menu. Clean and friendly. Good quality food at a decent price.

We went to the Der Dutchman in Plain City last Saturday and mentioned we were veterans and do you offer a discount. This is what we were told verbatim " No discount for veterans, we don't believe in fighting". What an insult!! Yet, they sure...More

We have been to the one in Belleville OH. I love the noodles over mashed potatoes, so not good for me, but man does it taste good. The staff is always pleasant and quick to get you what you need!

With two long buffet tables, there is no end to the choices of delicious Amish cooking. And the desserts are incredible! Don't go without being hungry!

Visited this location several times. Always a good meal. Recommend the broasted chicken-always moist. Sides are your typical Amish type.

Hello harruffds, I'm sorry, but we don't take reservations for parties smaller than 12. Our dining room is large and I'm sure we can accommodate you when you arrive. Hope this is helpful!

For the hard-working people of Holmes County, Ohio, eating is a simple pleasure, shared at family meals, times of fellowship, and celebrations. Der Dutchman Restaurant has been at the heart of this community and its food traditions for more than 30 years. Our Amish Kitchen Cooking is the No. 1 reason generations of visitors make the trip to Der Dutchman every year. But our hilltop location and spectacular view come in a close second. Lunch and dinner feature simple, straightforward classics—chicken, country-cured ham, roast beef and turkey, and chicken potpie. Hearty side dishes include real mashed potatoes, homemade egg noodles, and the freshest tasting creamed corn you’ll ever have the good fortune to eat. There’s also a great Kid’s Menu, with all their favorites, and lighter options, including homemade soups, fresh salads, and sandwiches.
