This was a excellent find! The food was great and the service was even better. The restaurant is kinda in a scary neighborhood if you aren't from here but it is worth the stop in! I had the wet burrito with carne asada the meat was seasoned perfectly and so tender! My friend got a quesadilla and a taco that... More

Visited EL Rio Verde after reading all of the reviews on trip advisor. You could tell by the crowd it was a very popular place... slightly off the beaten path. This is authentic Mexican food, not Tex Mex. It's a small place, nothing fancy. The service was great, but I would not say our food was awesome. It was good... More

Came here because I was looking on trip advisor for recommendations and I saw the picture of the wet burrito and I had to try it! It looked delicious! When you pull up it looks a little sketchy but the food is amazing and we had no problems at night in the area. It is very authentic and we were... More

My sister recently moved to Tulsa, and as always I was relying on TA to look for a good place to eat. I always trust my fellow TA members, so when I saw the place it didn't bother me. We got in right before lunch time and they quickly accommodated our group of about 12. The service was good and... More

Looks are deceiving here. The food is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot of Mexican food. The beef burrito is to die for. My wife had the vegetarian burrito and thought it was delicious. Chips are fresh. The flour burrito was delicious by itself. We will definitely eat here the next time... More

This place is small and looks like a hole in the wall kind of place but looks are deceiving. The food here is amazing and the price is great. Authentic Mexican food. My family eats here at least once a week. Wet burrito is yummy. Mexican tacos very good. In all my visits no bad food. Service is excellent. They... More

Tulsa area natives living in the SE now. Thought we'd try a New Mexican place on our recent trip back to T-town. Found El Rio Verde as the #1 Mexican restaurant on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. While we are huge TexMex junkies this restaurant is not TexMex, so don't expect the usual complimentary chunky tomato... More

We weren't sure when we pulled up at night but we needed dinner on our road trip. As we walked in, my mom was worried, when we left she said "never judge a book by its cover". Our family ate Carne asada street tacos, enchiladas, and a shredded beef burrito. It was all excellent!
