This is a hopping spot on the Hood River waterfront. The people watching is excellent and the wood fired pizza combinations are interesting. Much of the food is locally sourced and organic. We recently tried two 10 inch pizzas, Country Girl Cherry and Vegan Boy. We both loved the Country Girl (dried cherries, house made chorizo, Greek cheese). We didn't... More

Relaxing and watching the kite surfers and having a excellent lunch is the way to go. Beer was cold and the view was great. After getting relaxed from our travels, we mostly took our waitresses suggested items and was not disappointed. Soup was superb and sandwiches were special. We followed this by more kite surfer watching and good conversation.

Great energy, passionate staff, delicious food. Still impressed after a year since last are here. Parking on the streey out front. Opted to shut at the pizza oven counter rather than wait 15-20 minutes for a table. Well worth a front row seat to watch the talented staff.

Superb service. All the menu items for lunch looked delicious. Three of us tried 3 different items and we all thought they were excellent: moroccan beef stew, tagliatelle pasta with wild mushrooms, oysters, asparagas and butter, a wood-fired pizza. Wine by the glass and good local craft beers round out the menu. I'll eat here again (and again).

Solstice had only about 8 taps on their menu. As an out of Towner we were looking for more. The pizza was delicious, especially their country girl flavor.

Love this place! We stopped by for dinner while passing through the Gorge. The Moroccan beef stew was so flavorful and good. The meatballs and polenta were rich. Also try the Bollywood cocktail. It was the perfect cocktail with the right amount of heat. The wait staff also were very attentive. No complaints at all with this restaurant.

Went in for lunch with a few work buddies, had three different pizza's - the solstice dried cherry pizza was good, the pear and caramelized onion pizza was good too but the smoked Canadian Bacon, Pineapple and Jalapeno Cream sauce pizza was the overall best - crust was fantastic and topping were very good. The pizzas are cooked in a... More

If you want an artisan style pizza, this is your place! Or maybe a really tasty cup of soup, or a delicious salad.. But maybe you are just needing a little comfort, so the Mac & Cheese? Great variety on this menu! And the location is wonderful. There's a park nearby on the waterfront and a walking trail that goes... More

Met a group of friends for lunch and heard nothing but 'no'. No reservations. No separate checks. No major boutique beers. Minimal wine selection. Then we were charged 18% tip on our checks without prior notice, which resulted in massive over-tipping. Pizza and soup were good, but didn't make up for cool service and anti-customer policies.

We discovered this little place couple years ago and each and every time we go to Portland we dine there. The service is great and the food is so good, we never had a bad meal there. I love their salads and soups and kids devour pizzas.
