We were traveling from Crater Lake National Park and happened to meet a fisherman who recommended the Steamboat Inn. What a wonderful surprise! We were getting hungry and were going to stop when we saw a place that looked clean, so would have stopped here anyway but he was so right! He said he ate there every time he was... More

Pretty much the only place for a meal between Roseburg & Diamond Lake. Lovely location on the river altho outdoor dining did not appear open. Inside was near full in back, deserted in front. We were there for a late lunch after hiking. I had to find a server and ask for a menu. Prices seemed high but that's what... More

We have never stayed at the inn, just eaten at the restaurant. The Inn is situated on the banks of the North Umpqua River, We stop here a lot on the way to or from Diamond or Crater Lake, There are a few places to sit outside, plenty of table room inside. This is a good spot to stop for... More

We stopped for lunch today on the way to Tekotee Falls. Only 3 tables outside and all were full, no wonder as the surroundings were beautiful. Indoors was mostly empty. Menu was sticker shock, burgers had been frozen. Customers must be scarce. I hope this pretty spot gets kitchen and pricing in order.

Three of us stopped in for lunch yesterday 8/12/16 just as we have for years after a run or hike along the North Umpqua. We were shocked by the jump in prices for standard menu items. Fourteen dollars for a cheeseburger that comes with either chips or four bean salad? Really? We felt very gouged as we ordered our lunch.... More

We had left Crater Lake in the morning. We took Route 138 towards Interstate 5 North retuning to Portland. We remembered seeing Steamboat Inn when we arrived and thought that it would be a great place to refuel. We needed lunch and we stopped mid-afternoon at Steamboat Inn. We found a table and ordered lunch. Our server was excellent in... More

Me and my party were here at around 2:30 PM Saturday August 6, 2016 for a lunch. We waited 30 minutes to be served by their only waitress. The older woman at the counter was turned completely away from anything, distracted from the dining floor and chewing on some food. When we finally ordered, the salads that came were of... More

The restaurant staff were very nice to make us a very last minute breakfast to go. We did not have time to stay, so they made us some delicious bread/jam and coffees to go. The grounds and inside the restaurant were very nice. They were having a special event and so we could not get in for dinner. But from... More

The dinners were $50/per plus wine, there is one serving and you don't know what you will be having. Unfortunately for us is was Asian. The food is served family style which was porkloin, rice, mushrooms, rolls. Then some icey, sour dessert. It wasn't much for the price and they served Blackberry pie all day so I was hoping we'd... We stopped on our way to Crater Lake and were pleasantly surprised. Had a wonderful lunch while watching butterflies in the garden. Sevice was prompt and friendly.
