Service was slow, as our waitress had a running conversation going with a guy at the bar. We had drinks, then ordered our meals. My wife ordered a "salad" course and received a plate with 4 paper-thin cucumber slices with some dressing. Her entree was the "catch of the day" on risotto. I was surprised to see that the "catch"... More

Port Orford is a small fishing port on the south coast of Oregon, which has a number of folksy decent restaurants and one exceptional restaurant, Redfish, which sits looking to the out to sea and along the coast toward California. The food is expertly prepared, the ambience pleasant, and should you need a place to stay and be only two... More

Nice view. That's the only thing it has going for it. Very slow service although they barely have much more than burgers on the lunch menu and restaurant half full. Burger underdone, bun overdone. Unfriendly server.

I'm not sure what the competition is in Port Orford, so maybe in light of that, this place would deserve the high rating that tricked my family into giving it a try... Sure, the view is awesome, but considering the place has the word "fish" in its name, and a fish on the sign... and is next to the ocean...... More

Local roast coffee, freshly ground, and freshly prepared food are often hard to find together. I was looking to savor good coffee, and decided the food experience was secondary for lunch. What I got at Redfish was superior for both. I had the blackened fish of the day, snapper, on a roll with aioli. Very delectable flavor combination. Very few... More

We ordered two burgers that had very dry bread and flavorless meat. The cook and waitress made several mistakes. Disappointing.

Excellent lunch of local seafood. Great iced tea. Best I've ever had. Great view. Not a bad word to say about this place.

Wow, how fun! Came as a group and tried a little bit of everything. Elk, venison ... and bone marrow as a most delicious appetizer. This place usually serves seasonal fresh catch. The espresso-crusted lamb shanks are amazing, try them if they're on the menu: this young cook rocks. If you like good wine, you'll find it here. The view... More

We come through Port Orford only once a year, unfortunately. The joy of finding Redfish can not be overestimated. Port Orford is tiny, and keeping a good restaurant going all year long must be a very difficult job. We have eaten at Redfish 3 times, one time per year, and have been extremely satisfied with both the food and the... More

I guess we should have dressed a little better. The food was very good, but the ambiance was a little snotty. excuse-moi! I guess we should have sent our butler with our credentials first. Unfortunate... We'll go somewhere else a little more friendly next time...
